These suggestions are made to help you run your party as smoothly as possible and to make sure that the children and birthday child get the maximum enjoyment from the experience of having Mr Crumble entertain at their party.
1. Asking your guests to arrive promptly, or booking Mr Crumble to start shortly after the children are due to arrive , minimises the disruption of late arrivals. Children arriving in the midst of a show bearing gifts can break up the flow of the show.
2. If you are holding your party in the summer please be aware that Mr Crumble does not perform in gardens unless there is adequate shelter provided (gazebo or marquee) this is for several very good reasons discovered over a number of years.
3. If possible it is a good idea to let Mr Crumble set up in a separate room away from the children. This speeds up the setting up and prevents the children from seeing the magic before the show starts.
4. Place balloons or a banner at the entrance to your venue this will help Mr Crumble and your guests to find you quickly and easily.
5. Please put away all toys and games especially “ride on” toys, if younger children or toddlers start playing with these this can cause a big distraction.
6. Please ensure all pets are kept away from the party, this is not only to reduce distraction but also some animals can be distressed by large numbers of noisy children.
7. Bouncy castles and inflatable play equipment should be turned off during shows.
8. For a successful and enjoyable party please try and avoid the following situations;
i. Parents talking in the background and/or clearing away tables and chairs and making a lot of noise.
ii. Toddlers and babies running around, screaming or diving into Mr Crumble’s props. Please ask mothers of very young children to keep them on their laps if possible.
iii. Children with balloons, blowers, horns or whistles. If possible please wait until the end of the show before handing these out as they can cause a big distraction.
