Burns Night - 25th January

06 January, 2017

Burns Night is a celebration of the life and poetry of Robert Burns (25/1/1759 - 21/7/1796) and usually includes a supper of haggis, neeps (turnips) and tatties (potatoes) accompanied by Scotch Whisky and a recitation of Burn's poetry.

One of Burn's longer poems is entitled 'Tam O' Shanter' which was first published in 1791 and describes the exploits of Tam, a farmer, who often got drunk.  The name 'Tam O' Shanter' was subsequently adopted by the traditional Scottish bonnet.

Here at Mr Crumble's Party Shop we have a range of Scottish accessories to help your Burns Night celebrations along.
